वैदिक सुविचार

वयं स्याम पतयो रयीणाम् ।।
ऋग्वेद।।

हे सर्वशक्तिमान ईश्वर! हमें सामर्थ्य प्रदान करो कि हम धन ऐश्वर्य के स्वामी बनें और कभी भी धन ऐश्वर्य के दास न बनें।
अर्थात्
जब मनुष्य धन ऐश्वर्य का स्वामी होता है तो श्रीराम के समान राज्य का परित्याग कर देता है और जब धन ऐश्वर्य का दास होता है तो दुर्योधन की तरह अपना विनाश कर लेता है यानि धन ऐश्वर्य जीवन चलाने का साधन है सब कुछ नहीं।

‘O’ Almighty God ! Give us the strength to become masters of wealth and opulence and never become slaves of wealth and opulence.

When a man is the master of wealth and opulence, he abandons the kingdom like Shri Ram and when he is the slave of wealth and opulence, he destroys himself like Duryodhana. This indicates that wealth and opulence are just a means of living and not everything.
