  • 1932 – भारतीय वायुसेना का गठन |
  • 1936 – हिंदी के प्रसिद्ध कथाकार एवं उपन्यासकार प्रेमचंद का निधन हुआ।
  • 1970 – गौरी खान, भारतीय फिल्म निर्माता और डिजाइनर का जन्म हुआ ।
  • 1979 – जयप्रकाश नारायण एक भारतीय स्वतंत्रता कार्यकर्ता, समाजवादी और राजनीतिक नेता का निधन हुआ |
  • 1998 – भारत ‘फ्लाइट सेफ्टी फाउंडेशन’ का सदस्य बना।
  • 2004 – भारतीय गेहूँ पर मोनसेंटो का पेटेंट रद्द। शांति का नोबेल पुरस्कार केन्याई पर्यावरणविद वांगरी मथाई को।

  • 1645 – Jeanne Mance opens the first lay hospital in North America.
  • 1821 – The Peruvian Navy is established during the War of Independence.
  • 1862 – American Civil War: The Confederate invasion of Kentucky is halted at the Battle of Perryville.
  • 1974 – Franklin National Bank collapses due to fraud and mismanagement; at the time it is the largest bank failure in the history of the United States.
  • 2014 – Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person in the United States to be diagnosed with Ebola, dies.

  • 1184: In Japan, during the Genpei War, Minamoto no Noriyori launches a new campaign in the Chugoku region with 30,000 warriors
  • 1317: Death of the 92th Japanese emperor Fushimi (1293-1298), born on 10 May 1265
  • 1919: Birth of Kiichi Miyazawa, Japanese Prime minister from 1991 to 1993 and died on June 28, 2007
  • 1941: The Battle of Changsha (September 6 – October 8, 1941) was Japan’s second attempt in taking the city of Changsha, China, the capital of Hunan Province as part of the second Sino-Japanese War
  • 1947: Birth of Toshiya Ito and Ken Teraizumi, Japanese actors

 

 
 
China’s History 
 
  • 1740 : Local Chinese assault on Diestsepoort, Batavia
  • 1856: Qing officials boarded the Arrow, a Hong Kong registered ship, and imprisoned twelve Chinese sailors. The Arrow incident was the start of the Second Opium War (1857-1860)
  • 1879: Birth of Chen Duxiu, first chairman of the Chinese communist party (1921-1927), who died on May 27, 1942, of heart attack
  • 1937: Birth of Ho Fan, Chinese actor and director
