गिरयस्ते पर्वता हिमवन्तोऽरण्यं ते पृथिवी स्योनमस्तु।
बभ्रुं कृष्णां रोहिणीं विश्वारूपां ध्रुवां भूमिं पृथिवीमिन्द्रगुप्ताम् अजीतोऽहतो अक्षतोऽध्यष्ठां पृथिवीमहम्।।११।।

हे मातृभूमि हमारे लिए तेरे समुन्द्र, पहाड़ियां, हिम, नदियाँ, वन एवं मरुस्थल भी मनभावन होवें। हे ईश्वर! हमारे जीवन-यापन को भरण-पोषण करने वाली यह उपजाऊ एवं अनेक रूप रंग वाली प्राकृतिक सौंदर्यात्मक, दृढ़ स्वाभाव वाली, विस्तृत क्षेत्र वाली ऐश्वर्यशाली मातृ भूमि हो। हम सभी वीर पुरुषों से रक्षित यह पृथिवी कभी जीर्ण खण्डित और पराधीन न हो अपितु अधिष्ठातृ हो।

O motherland ! May your seas, hills, snow, rivers, forests and deserts also be pleasant for us. O God ! May this fertile and multi-coloured, naturally beautiful, strong-natured and vast area be our motherland which sustains our livelihood.  This earth, protected by all of us brave men, should never become dilapidated or subjugated, but should remain prosperous.
