टीटू शर्मा दुकान पर जाकर घड़ी खरीदता है (Titu Sharma dukaan par jaakar ghadi kharida hai) – Titu Sharma goes to a shop to buy a watch.
कुछ दिन बाद वही दुकान पर वापस आता है और दुकानदार से कहता है (Kuch din baad wahi dukaan par vapas aata hai aur dukaandar se kehta hai) – A few days later, he comes back to the same shop and tells the shopkeeper:
“ये घड़ी जो मैंने ली थी, ये तो चल ही नहीं रही है!” (Ye ghadi jo maine li thi, yeh to chal hi nahi rahi hai!) – “This watch that I bought, it’s not working anymore!”
दुकानदार घड़ी को देखता है और कहता है (Dukandar ghadi ko dekhta hai aur kehta hai) – The shopkeeper looks at the watch and says:
“पर इसमें तो कोई दिक्कत नहीं दिख रही है…” (Par hamein to koi dikkat nahi dikh rahi hai…) – “But I don’t see any problem with it…”
टीटू: “दिक्कत कैसे नहीं है? ये तो समय ही नहीं बता रही है!” (Titu: “Dikkat kaise nahi hai? Yeh to samay hi nahi bata rahi hai!”) – Titu: “How can there be no problem? It’s not even showing the time!”
दुकानदार मुस्कुराते हुए कहता है: (Dukandar muskurate hue kehta hai) – The shopkeeper replies with a smile:
“समय तो वही है जो आप बताएंगे…” (Samay to wahi hai jo aap batayenge…) – “The time is only what you will tell…”
